With over 170 acres, the Holy Highway is considered a "working farm". The fields are cut for hay to feed the cows and horses that graze the pastures, and the girls enjoy hauling hay as well as hay-rides and outside camp fires.
Animals are part of everyday life at Holy Highway, and work chores include feeding the animals, cleaning stalls and pens, gathering eggs, and other farm-related chores. Outside work projects are used for behavior modification as well as weekly work programs which include mowing, weeding flower beds, and working in seasonal vegetable gardens.
A bridge rests atop a well-stocked 3-acre fishing pond offering a peaceful retreat for reading and reflecting on the Word during quiet times with the Lord. Tree swings are located throughout the property where girls can sit and chat or enjoy some time alone. These areas also provide great places for girls and parents during visitations.
